A.C. Carr's Obituary
A.C. "Coon" Carr, passed away Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 at Fayette Medical Center-DCH.
Mr. Carr was born Dec. 6, 1925 in Lamar Co. to the late William Henry and Sarah Elizabeth "Lizzy" Carr. He was a presser at the garment plant, a license funeral director with Chandler Funeral Home, and a member of the Vernon Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be Sun. at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Eddie Finch and Craig Chandler officiating. Burial will follow at Vernon City Cemetery.
Survivors are one son, Bill Carr of Vernon; two brothers, Billy (Margaret) Carr of Vernon and Donald (Betty) Carr of Vernon; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Carr; parents, William Henry and Sarah Elizabeth (Lizzy) Carr; three sisters, Claudie Lee Rogers, Wilma Broussard, and Ethel Pennington; and brothers, Guss Henry Carr, Buck Oliver Carr, Vester Carr, and Rollie Carr.
