Mr. Alan Edwin Jones, age 66 of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017, at his residence.
Mr. Jones was born September 10,1951, in Chesterton, IN, to the late Jay Edwin and Loretta Jones. He served in the U.S. Navy and Vietnam War and was a truck driver and bus driver. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was also preceded in death by his sisters, Teena Jones and Marcia Jones.
There will be a visitation Wednesday evening, 6:00-8:00, at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Jones of Vernon, AL; three daughters, Rhonda (J.R.) Rogers of Vernon, AL, Charlon Harrison of Vernon, AL, and Jaime Smith of Indiana; two sons, Phillip (Angie Cranford) Hollis and Bryant Hollis, both of Vernon, AL; seven grandchildren, Jaeda (Steven) Simpson, Austin Hollis, Bailey Hollis, Chase Harrison, Alaney Hollis, Savannah Smith, and Brantley Smith; and one brother, Jimmy Jones of Highland, IN.
