Mr. Albert Rex White, age 85 of Vernon, AL, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Generations of Vernon.

Mr. White was born September 18, 1927, in Sulligent, AL, to the late James Preson and Zella Ozelle White. He was co-owner of Lamar Heating and Cooling. Mr. White was also preceded in death by four brothers, Hollis (Bessie) White, James White, Larry White, and Ernest White; and two sisters, Wylodine (Myles) Prater and Opal (Howard) Hopper.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 in the funeral home chapel with Tony Gallop, Scotty Stovall, and Billy Carl Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be Sunday evening 6-9.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Laura T. White; two daughters, Caralyn (Jimmy) Oglesby and Marilyn (Ricky) Christian; two sons, Al (Tammy) White and Lynn White; five grandchildren, Shane (Debbie) Oglesby, Steve (Lea Ann) Oglesby; Corey White, Kaitlyn White, and Anna Catherine White; six great-grandchildren, Erin (Kyle) Taylor, C.J. Bell, C.J. Oglesby, Aaron Oglesby, Riley Oglesby, and Hughes Oglesby; two sisters, Lois (Hershal) Gallop and Dorothy McGee; brother, Edward (Winnie Chloe) White; and two sisters-in-law, Lillian White, Marie White, and Alice White.
