Mrs. Annie Loraine Berry, age 96 of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, at Generations of Vernon.
Mrs. Berry was born September 8, 1916, in Prentiss Co., MS to the late Audie and Lucy Anderson. She was a homemaker raising six children then worked for a short time at McCoy Manufacturing and later at the Convalescent Center. She was a long time member of Mt. Olive Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Berry was also preceded in death by her husband, Victor Berry; one son, Glenn Berry, grandson, Shawn Berry; great-grandson, Billy Jack Hollinger; three brothers, Bryan Anderson, Harvey Anderson, and Rex Anderson; and two sisters, Ora Bell Anderson and Zera Duggar.
Funeral services will be Sundat at 4:00 in the funeral home chapel with Daniel Berry and Paul Barham officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be Saturday evening 6-8.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty (Robert) Mordecai of Millport, AL; four sons, Thomas (Janice) Berry of Cullman, AL, Audie (Kayo) Berry of Jacksonville, FL, David Berry of Vernon, AL, and Daniel (Patricia) Berry of Birmingham, AL; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Berry; five grandsons, Ken Berry, Gary Hayes, Keith Hayes, Scott Berry, and Christian Berry; seven granddaughters, Tonya Berry, Kelly (Will) Kessler, Bronwyn (Ricky) Wiggins, Brooke (David) Pember, Sandra Simmons, Amber Berry, and Kaycee Berry; three great-grandsons, Holden Hayes, Austin Hollinger, and Pieren Pember; four great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Kessler, Ashley Hayes, Morgan Funderburk, and Allison Hayes; two brothers, A.E. Anderson and Dennis Anderson; sister-in-law, Era Anderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.
