Mrs. Annie Lee Otts Springfield, age 94 of Millport, AL, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014, at her residence.

Mrs. Springfield was born November 5, 1920, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Andy and Beulah Higgins. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was a nurse's aide in Columbus. She enjoyed gardening, raising vegetables, and tending to her flower garden. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Springfield was preceded in death by her husbands, Travis Otts and Gary Springfield; her son, James Otts; and four brothers, Barksdale Higgins, Owens Higgins, Charles Higgins, and Jimmy Higgins.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 12:00 in the funeral home chapel with Sonny McLellan officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 11-12 prior to the service.

Survivors include her daughter, Sue O. Atkins of Millport, AL; her daughter-in-law, Helen Cole Otts of Birmingham, AL; her sister-in-law, Mildred Higgins; three grandchildren, Andy (Jennifer) Atkins of Meridianville, AL, Jody (Ann) Otts of Birmingham, AL, and Andrea (John) Otts Blake of Birmingham, AL; 12 great-grandchildren; a cousin, Grace Jolly of Montgomery, AL; a host of nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Fannie Cantrell of Fayette, AL.
