Mr. Arnold "Punk" Gay McReynolds, age 80 of Millport, AL, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.

Mr. McReynolds was born May 17, 1934, in Lamar Co., AL to the late Robert Ira and Lula Adline McReynolds. He served in the Navy and was a Chief Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Air Force, Mr. McReynolds worked as the personnel manager for the local unemployment office in Columbus for the State of Mississippi. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Faye McReynolds, whom he married on October 1, 1955 in Columbus, and three brothers, Bobby McReynolds, J.C. McReynolds, and Leon McReynolds.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Jerry Robinson and Father Robert Dohr officiating. Burial will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery in the Hightogy Community. Visitation will be Wednesday 12-2 prior to the service.

Survivors include his two daughters, Susan (retired Col. Ronald) Mittenzwei of Las Vegas, NV and Laurie "Dee Dee" Mitchell of Columbus, MS; two grandchildren, James Mitchell and and Rhonda Mittenzwei; his brother, Agee McReynolds of Vernon, AL; three sisters, Clara Cicero of Tuscaloosa, AL, Betty Brock of Vernon, AL, and Sue Paul of Louisiana; and a host of family and friends.
