Mrs. Barbara Tomlin Blaylock, age 89, of Vernon, AL, passed from this world on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Generations of Vernon.

Mrs. Blaylock was born April 1, 1935, to the late Ralph and Mary Tomlin.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ira Blaylock, and one brother, Harry Tomlin.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 23, at 2:00 PM, at Chandler Funeral Home, with Phillip Tomlin officiating.  Burial will follow at the Ole Liberty Cemetery in the Kingville Community.

Mrs. Blaylock is survived by one daughter, Brenda (Dale) Gilmore; two grandchildren, Scott Gilmore and Tracy Gilmore; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Dan (Nell) Tomlin and Wayne (Fannie) Tomlin.

The family would like to thank the staff of Generations of Vernon for their kindness and care during Mrs. Blaylock's stay there.
