Mrs. Barbara Hollingsworth, age 77 of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021, at Generations of Vernon.

Mrs. Hollingsworth was born July 31, 1944, in Choctaw County, MS, to the late Jim T. and Vaurice Gurley Honnoll.  She was a seamstress, and a member of Westside Baptist Church in Vernon.  Mrs. Hollingsworth loved to be the "hostess" at Yellow Creek Restaurant, and enjoyed her years of working at Generations of Vernon.  She was married to the late Billy Joe Hollingsworth, and was also preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Honnoll.

Funeral services will be Sunday, November 14, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. Bryan Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia.  Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Craig Lollar, Ronnie Hester, Marcus Honnoll, Jeff Honnoll, Ronnie Rogers, and James Rogers.

Survivors include her daughters, Dana (Hero) Hester of Satsuma, AL, Daphaine (Donnie) Hester of Spanish Fort, AL and Carol Bryant (John) Persson, of Daphne, AL; one sister, Diane (David) Davis, of Vernon, AL; three grandsons, Bryant Cashia, Michael Cantrell, and Lucas Hester; and her special friend, Stephine Durham.
