Obituary
Mrs. Belva Jean Pennington, age 84 of Vernon, AL, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
Mrs. Pennington was born December 10, 1930, to the late Zenus and Tennie Stapp and was married to the late Gene Pennington. She served as Vice-President at the Bank of Vernon and was a member of Springfield Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 at Springfield Free Will Baptist Church with Wade Peoples officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be Monday evening 6-8 at the funeral home.
Survivors include two sons, William David (Jeannie) Pennington and James Michael (Donna) Pennington, both of Vernon, AL; a daughter, Jeanna Rena (Michael) Jaudon of Caledonia, MS; four grandchildren, Jeremy Michael Pennington, William Spencer Pennington, Richard Tyler Pennington, and Keri Nicole Pennington Rogers; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dean Rushing, Betty Pickelsimer, and Sandra Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other family.
