Mr. Benny Wayne Lacy, age 73, of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Lacy was born December 14, 1951, to the late Bill Ross and Ruby Nell (Parson) Lacy, and was self-employed.  He enjoyed riding and tending to his horses, and was always there to lend a hand to his friends when they needed help.  Mr. Lacy loved spending time with his family and being Papa to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Cynthia Lacy, and their baby.

The family has chosen cremation and not to have a service at this time.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Lacy, of Vernon, AL; his daughter, Tashia (Cody) McNees of Vernon, AL; his son, Benny (Jennifer) Lacy, Jr. of Vernon, AL; seven grandchildren, Brody (Katie) McClain, Tyler (Briana) Lacy, Lacy Pennington (Connor), Austin (Regan) McNees, Dominic and Noah Shepherd, and Tori (Mason) Orr; four great-grandchildren, Laken Lacy, Silas McClain, and Waylon and Bryer McNees; his brother, Dennis (Donna) Lacy of Harvest, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
