Mrs. Berniece Faye Knight McDaniel, age 79 of Sulligent, AL, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014, at her residence.

Mrs. McDaniel was born May 15, 1935, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late George Clanton Knight and Lucille Knight Yerby. She graduated from Sulligent High School in 1953 and was a bookkeeper. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Knight and Floyd Alton Knight, and her step-father, Pascal Yerby.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 4:00 at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Vernon with Bradley McDaniel, Patrick McDaniel, and Joe Beckon officiating. Graveside services will follow at Wofford Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 at the church prior to the service.

Survivors include her husband, Lynn G. McDaniel of Sulligent, AL; three sons, Ron (Carol) McDaniel of Tallassee, AL, Michael (Marsha) McDaniel of Vernon, AL, and David (Aletha) McDaniel of Oxford, AL; two daughters, Reba (Tony) Indelicato of Clearfield, PA and Diane (Larry) Stephens of Dothan, AL; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rabon (Raylene) Knight of Spokane, WA and Billy (Wilma) Knight of Pleasant Hill, IL; three step-brothers, Sydney Yerby, Richard Yerby, and Joe Yerby; and one step-sister, Janice Yerby.
