Mr. Phillip Bert Glasgow, age 85 of Sulligent, AL, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015, at his residence.
Mr. Glasgow was born November 28, 1929, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late William Jeff and Edna Glasgow. He set up machines at United Technologies and was married to the late Alice Foster Glasgow. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Glasgow was also preceded in death by his brothers, Platt Glasgow, Clay Glasgow, James Glasgow, Billy Glasgow, Charles Glasgow, and Bobby Glasgow, and two sisters, Velmer Moore and Stella Shaw.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 3:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Bro. Willard Pless officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 1-3 prior to the service.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Jo (Jim) Hammett and Phyllis Glasgow both of Vernon, AL; two sons, Ricky (Lisa) Glasgow of Sulligent, AL and Phillip (Marquetta) Glasgow of Vernon, AL; five grandchildren, Scotty (Ashley) Glasgow, Brad (Brittney) May, Jade (Blake) Bostick, Kisha (Dan) Cantrell, Kandice Hammett, and Holly Hood; 16 great-grandchildren, Anna Killby, Gracelyn Killby, Miley Killby, Ali Glasgow, Brady Glasgow, John Thomas Glasgow, Aiden Dill, Hunter Allen, Crawford Bostick, Ivie Bostick, Eli Cantrell, Olivia Cantrell, Abel Cantrell, Linzley May, Tryson May, and Brix May; four sisters, Levern Kirkley of Greenville, SC, Dean Veal of Millport, AL, Peggy Fulmer of Vernon, AL, and Polly Bardon of Vernon, AL; and host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
