Mrs. Betty Jean Coomer, age 68 of Sulligent, AL, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021, at her residence.

Mrs. Coomer was born August 7, 1952, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Erbie "Poke" and Tressie McClendon.  She was a certified nurses assistant, and was married to the late Tommy McCool and the late Terry Coomer.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Billy Joe McClendon.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 11, at 4:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Eddie Rogers officiating.  Burial will follow at Lamar Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be Tuesday, 2:00-4:00, prior to the service.

Survivors include three daughters, Kim (Tim) Gordon of Vernon, AL, Crystal Aaron (Joe Richardson) of Nettleton, MS, and Heather McCool of Sulligent, AL; seven grandchildren, Brittany McCool (Craig Monaghan), Cynthia (Scott) King, Thomas Gordon, Taylor (Bill) Berryhill, Adam Aaron, and Tommy (Rikki) McCool, and Hannah McCool; seven great-grandchildren; and her aunt, Alice Faye Burns.</p >
