Mrs. Betty Jean Holley, age 90, of Columbus, MS and formerly of Vernon, AL, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, at The Windsor Place in Columbus.

Mrs. Holley was born February 21, 1933, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Stephen Foster and Laura Rector.  She was a hair dresser, and she enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, especially when they were winning.  Mrs. Holley lived a life with a warm and loving heart, and would do anything for anyone that she could.  She was married to the late Frankie Holley, and was also preceded in death by her four brothers, Richard Rector, Sam Rector, Oliver Rector, and Alton Rector, and her three sisters, Ilene Ellis, Pauline Thompson, and Hazel Bell.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 29, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. Doug Wilson and Bro. Donald Parker officiating.  Burial will follow at Vernon City Cemetery.  Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Jake Huff, Grant Huff, Chris Turner, Stoney Price, Jeremy Price, and Chancy Price.

Survivors include her daughter, Vickie (Jerry) White, of Millport, AL; her son, Jerry Huff, of Vernon, AL; four grandchildren, Kari (Scott) Carrouth of Beaverton, AL, Jodi (Chris) Turner of Mobile, AL, Jake (Laura) Huff of Vernon, AL, and Bethany Huff of Vernon, AL; six great-grandchildren, Ethan and Laurel Carrouth, and Sara Beth, Grant, Anna Kate, and Tyler Huff; and a host of nieces and nephews.
