Mrs. Betty Ruth Rector, age 88 of Millport, AL, passed away Sunday, October 20,2019, at her residence.

Mrs. Rector was born July 9, 1931, to the late Fred and Hattie Lawrence and was one of thirteen children.  She was a long time member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ and was married to the late Billy Rector of Millport.  She was also preceded in death by her great-grandson, Adrian Merchant.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Travis Brown officiating.  Burial will follow at Christian Chapel.  Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon 2:00-3:00 prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be John Manasco, Steven Evans, Clyde Murdock, Fred Williams, Lloyd Lawrence, and B.J. Lawrence.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn (Wayne) Barnes of Millport, AL and Sharon (Bill) Gilliam of Spring Hill, TN; four grandchildren, Courtney (Steven) Evans of Millport, AL, Brittany (John) Manasco of Fayette, AL, Shavon (Wesley) Ward, and Shain (Jessica) Gilliam; great-grandchildren, Carson Barnes, Haley and Joshua Merchant, Zack Williams, Savana Murdock, Breanna and Emily Evans, and three other great-grandchildren.
