Mrs. Beverly Lynn Hudson, age 70, of Sulligent, AL, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Mrs. Hudson was born  January 5, 1951, in Mobile, AL, to the late J.D. and Christeen Sledge, and was married to the later Richard Hudson.  She was a fourth grade teacher at Vernon Elementary, then later taught sixth grade at Vernon Intermediate School.  After her retirement, Mrs. Hudson served the school as a volunteer, substitute teacher, and book keeper for 26 years.

Graveside services will be Friday, October 1, at 5:00 PM, at Wofford Cemetery, with Ben Vernon and Ric Rogers officiating.  Visitation will be 4:00-5:00 at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Ricky King, James Hudson, Steven Brock, Justin Lann, Kellen Nabors, Ahmad Walker, Corey Dove, and Brandon Sullivan.  Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Walker, Vance Herron, Jason Clark, Brett Gentle, and Tommy Eskridge, III.

Survivors include two daughters, Christy (Chris) Rogers and Jennifer (Matt) White, both of Vernon, AL; one son, Todd (Taylor) Hudson, of Vance, AL; seven grandchildren, Ric and Cammie Rogers, Leslee, Lucas, and Leon White, and Gannon and Riggs Hudson; and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the First United Methodist Church Fund, or to the Lamar County High School Athletics.
