Obituary
Mr. Billy Burt Christian, age 81 of Vernon, passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
Mr. Christian was born June 16, 1930. He was a radio operator in the U.S. Air Force.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Benton Goodman and Clyde Stevens officiating. Visitation will be Monday 1-2 prior to the service. Graveside service will follow at Vernon City Cemetery with full military honors.
Survivors are his wife, Carolyn Christian of Vernon; two sons, Billy B. Christian, Jr. of Orlando, FL and John Christian of Atlanta, GA; step-son, Tim Yerby of Vernon; two daughters, Betty Lane Werber of Nashville, TN and Roxanne Grieco of Colorado; step-daughter, Geraldine Coan of Vernon; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Austin Christian of Vernon and Jack Christian of Birmingham.
