Obituary
Mr. Billy Wayne Johnson, age 73, of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Johnson was born April 9, 1939, in Lamar Co., AL to the late Luther and Mary Johnson. He served in the U.S. Army and was an oil field worker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Johnson; his son, Billy Lyle Johnson; his parents; four brothers, James Johnson, Charles Johnson, W.L. Johnson, Marshall Johnson; and sister, Betty Jo Brown.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with James Godsey officiating. Graveside service will follow at Ebenezer cemetery in Millport. Visitation will be Monday evening 6-9.
Survivors are two sons, Chris (Mary Ann) Johnson of Sulligent, AL and Jody (Misty) Johnson of Millport, AL; three brothers, Oscar Johnson of GA, Max Johnson of GA, and Bruce Johnson of FL; two sisters, Kathy Brookins of GA and Mary Ruth Jordan; seven grandchildren, Chris (Amanda) Johnson, Kristen Burnett, Taylor Johnson, Haylei Johnson, Tyler Raine, Joshua Raine, and Aubrey Raine; five great-grandchildren, Pyper Burnett, Kinsley Johnson, Conner Spann, Anna Spann, and Gloria Johnson.
