Mr. Billy Lee Pennington, age 73 of Vernon, AL, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, at his residence.

Mr. Pennington was born May 1, 1947, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Celbert Lee and Jewell Carr Pennington.  He was a Supervivor at Sanford Trust Company, and was also preceded in death by his son, Billy Lee Pennington, Jr., two brothers, Kindal Pennington and Wallace Pennington; and one sister, Polly Hudson.

There will be a memorial service Thursday, January 14, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. Ron Raiffe officiating.  The cremains will be buried at Wofford Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday 1:00-2:00 prior to the service.

Survivors include his wife, Ella Pennington of Vernon, AL; four daughters, Cindy Meyers, Brooke (Courtney) Baughn, Stacie (Lamar) Peacock, and Tina Brewer; two sons, John "Jay" (Stacey) Rowe, and Jeff (Jennifer) Pennington; grandchildren, Karlie Baughn, Carter Baughn, Leslie Conwill, Hannah Dobbins, Justin Conwill, Billy Holley, Leah Curtis, Rachael Head, Bailey Rowe, Kayla Rowe, Lauren Rowe, Jacob Pennington, and Allison Pennington; great-grandchildren, Orry Dobbins, Oliver Dobbins, and Fenton Conwill; one brother, David (Sukie) Pennington; and six sisters, Flora Hawkins, Sue (Rodney) Kennedy, Molly Chandler, Jean (Gordon) Thompson, Dean Turner, and Loretta Pennington.
