Obituary
Mr. Bobby Gene Berry, age 83 of Vernon, AL, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017, at Fayette Long Term Care.
Mr. Berry was born February 8, 1934, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Talmadge and Rosie Marie Berry. He served in the U.S. Army and worked in logging. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Caroline and Joyce Sand.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Rhudy and Bro. Max Bobbitt officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be Wednesday 12:00-2:00 prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Tim Bobbitt, Vance Herron, Brian Berry, Steven Berry, Ty Herron, Cade Herron, Lance Bobbitt, and Seth Morris.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Berry of Vernon, AL; two daughters, Karon (Tim) Bobbitt and Janet (Vance) Herron, both of Vernon, AL; five grandchildren, Kasey (Seth) Morris, Lance (Laura) Bobbitt, Keeli Rose Bobbit, Ty Austin Herron, and Cade Alan Herron; two great-grandchildren, Rollins Maleah and Canaan Everette Morris; two brothers, Wayne (Sharon) Berry and Earl (Brenda) Berry; two nephews Brian (Terri) Berry and Steven (Allison) Berry; and two great-nieces, Ashton and Jenna Berry.
