Mr. Bobby Joe Godsey, age 67 of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Godsey was born November 20, 1952, in Vernon, AL, to the late Elbert and Virginia Lou Godsey.  He was a truck driver and was a member of Celebration Worship Center.  He was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Griffin.

There will be a memorial service Saturday at 2:00 at the Celebration Worship Center Church, with James Godsey officiating.

Survivors include three sons, Jody Godsey, Jackie Godsey, and Chris Morton, all of Vernon, AL; one daughter, Kristy Morton of Vernon, AL; five grandchildren, Kayla Godsey, Dillion Godsey, Logan Godsey, Brooke Godsey, and Bubba Godsey; two great-grandchildren, Kaybn Scott and Carter Godsey; three brothers, James Godsey, Lynn Godsey, and Bryan Godsey; three sisters, Altea Hollis, Liz Guyton, and Brenda Thomas; and a host of other family and friends.
