Mr. Bobby Stephen Murff, age 71 of Bartahatchie, MS, passed away Monday, June 11, at his residence.

Mr. Murff was born July 20, 1946, in Aberdeen, MS, to the late Stephen Newman and Alba Irene Murff.  He was the owner of Murff's Chimney Service and was a member of Mt. Olive Church of Christ for 28 years.  Mr. Murff was a loving and protecting husband and father, and was always honest and humble.  He always said what he meant, and meant what he said.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Travis Brown officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Bartahatchie.  Visitation will be Thursday evening 6:00-9:00.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry Murff of Bartahatchie, MS; four sons, Dwayne (Tasha)Murff of Bartahatchie, MS, Brian Murff of Florence, AL, Pete Murff of Amory, MS, and Robert (Tracy) Murff of Bartahatchie, MS; seven grandchildren, Trace Murff, Tucker Murff, Alex Murff, Hannah Hayes, Harley Murff, Melissa Murff, and Brianna Lee; three great-grandchildren, Layton Murff, Parker Lee, and Kiley Lee; one sister, Judy (Lindsey) Gosa; and a host of other family and friends.
