Mr. Brooks Dean Perkins, age 84, of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Perkins was born July 9, 1941, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Kager and Flaudie (Woods) Perkins.  He was a certified diesel mechanic and business owner, and was a member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.  He was also preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Charlene (South) Perkins; his grandson, Jacob Perkins; his brother, Willie Gene Perkins; and his sister, Eula Mae Davis.

Funeral services will be Sunday, August 10, at 3:00 PM, at the Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, with Bro. Wayne Overton officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.  Visitation will be at the church 2:00-3:00 prior to the service.

Survivors include his son, Tony (Stacey) Perkins of Vernon, AL; two daughters, Janet (Tony) Allen and Tina (Tim) Redus, both of Vernon, AL; six grandchildren, Ashley (Jason) Fitch, Amber (Brian) Head, Isaac (Justina) Whittle, Justin (Courtney) Perkins, and Daniel and Luke Redus; nine great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Fitch, Kinleigh Fitch, Sara Beth Huff, Grant Huff, Anna Kate Huff, Elijah Whittle, Lawson Perkins, Bryleigh Perkins, Tatum Perkins, and Layla Kate Perkins; one sister, Evelyn Duckworth of Vernon, AL; and one sister-in-law, Lois Perkins.
