Ms. Beverly Carlene Newman, age 83, of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Hospice of West Alabama.

Ms. Newman was born September 10, 1942, in Neshoba County, MS, to the late Carl and Erma Dee (Savell) Rasbury.  She was preceded in death by her son, Chris Cook, her daughter, Carrie Cook, and her sister, Ginger Collins.  She loved trips to the beach, fried shrimp, watching Alabama football on Saturday, and baking sweets but most importantly spending time with family..

A graveside service will be Monday, September 29, at 11:00 AM, at Lamar Memory Gardens, with Bro. Brandon Phillips officiating..

Survivors include her son, Tyler (Amanda) Newman, of Foley, AL; one sister, Dianne (Clay) Swanzy, of Fairhope, AL; one brother, Savelle (Kai) Rasbury of Vernon, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
