June McCulley

Mrs. Carolyn June McCulley, age 87, of Vernon, AL, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025, at her residence.

Mrs. McCulley was born February 13, 1938, in Adamsville, AL, to the late Harry and Emily Cruce.  She was married to the late Donald McCulley and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She attended Oak Ridge Baptist Church and was a loyal member for 35 years.  She worked for many years in retail before retiring.

Mrs. McCulley was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Donald McCulley; her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Thomas Jerry Oakes; her parents; four brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 1, at 12:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. Alan Magouirk officiating.  Burial will follow at the Kennedy Community Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00-12:00 prior to the service.

Active pallbearers will be William Jolley, Derrick Hopson, Toby Stidham, Travis Smith, Frank Harrison, and Landon Wilson.  Honorary pallbearers will be members of Oak Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Katelyne (William) Jolley; her grandson, Kerry (Kristy) Gosa; four great-grandchildren, Gracie, Ainsley, and Colvin Jolley, and Lillian Barnes; and a host of nieces and nephews.
