Carson Lee Maddox, the nine year old son of Chad and Jennifer Maddox, passed away Monday, May 6, 2014, at Fayette Medical Center-DCH.

Carson was born January 27, 2005, in Birmingham, AL. He was in third grade at Vernon Elementary School and held a special place in his family and friends hearts. Carson was preceded in death by his his grandfathers, Terry Maddox, Sr. and Ricky Belk.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Lamar Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery in Wayside. Visitation will be Thursday 12-2 prior to the service.

Survivors include his parents, Chad and Jennifer Maddox of Vernon, AL; his two brothers, Chase and Caden Maddox of Vernon, AL; his grandmothers, Gail Belk of Belk, AL and Patsy Maddox of Vernon, AL; his aunts and uncles, Rick Belk of Belk, AL, Ben and Amanda Maddox of Vernon, AL, and Angie and Mark Thomas of Vernon, AL; his cousins, Trey Maddox, Adam Maddox, Mason Maddox, Lance Thomas, Logan Thomas, Taylor Belk, and Courtney Brown; and his special person and caregiver, Kim Carter.
