Mrs. Chapple Geraldine Johnson, age 94 of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Fayette Long Term Care in Fayette, AL.

Mrs. Johnson was born November 8, 1926, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Golden and Ruby Curry.  She was a homemaker, and was married to the late Jake Johnson.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Jake Johnson; her daughter, Becky Caraletta Johnson; and one brother and three sisters.

Funeral services will be Sunday, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Keith Howell officiating.  Burial will follow at Christian Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday, 1:00-2:00 PM, prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Donald Herron, Jason Johnson, Todd Cantrell, Austin Hankins, Brylan Johnson, and Taylor Shinholster.

Survivors include one son, Jimmy (Brenda) Johnson of Vernon, AL; one daughter, Melissa (Donald) Herron of Vernon, AL; three grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Johnson of Moundville, AL, DeeAnn (Austin) Hankins of Vernon, AL, and Jana (Todd) Cantrell of Vernon, AL; seven great-grandchildren, Brylan Johnson, Jacey Johnson, Ansley Jo Cantrell, Colt Hankins, Avery Chapple Cantrell, Reese Hankins, and Jacob Dean Cantrell; one brother, Foy Curry; and three sisters, Lavola Rector, Elaine McDaniel, and Sharon Davis.
