Murlie Charlene Perkins, age 74 of Vernon, AL, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016, at her residence.
Mrs. Perkins was born October 11, 1942, to the late Dexter and Erdeal South. She was a homemaker and member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will Sunday at 2:00 at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church with Kevin Suddith officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday at the church 1-2 prior to the service.
Survivors include her husband, Brooks Perkins of Vernon, AL; one son, Tony (Stacey) Perkins of Vernon, AL; two daughters, Janet (Tony) Allen of Vernon, AL and Tina (Tim) Redus of Vernon, AL; seven grandchildren, Ashley Fitch, Amber Huff, Isaac Whittle, Justin and Jacob Perkins, and Daniel and Luke Redus; and eight great-grandchildren.
