Mr. Charles Thurston Gilliam, age 83 of Kennedy, AL, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Thurston was born August 17, 1929 in Lamar Co, AL to the late Charlie and Trannie Gilliam. He was a retired cook with the U.S. Air Force.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 in the funeral home chapel with Danny Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Branch. Visitation will be Thursday 10-11 prior to the service.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Gilliam of Kennedy, AL; son, James T. Murphy of Caledonia, MS; sister, Hortense Johnson of Millport, AL; grandson, Don Murphy of Nashville, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews.
