Mr. Charles D. Hollis, age 67, of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014, at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, AL.

Mr. Hollis was born March 14, 1947, in Booneville, MS to the late J.D. and Dorothy Hollis. He was a fork lift operator and was also preceded in death by an infant sister.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3:00 at the Fountain of Life Church with Paul Barham, Scotty Stovall, and Johnny Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Wofford Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 1-3 at the church prior to the service.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Merchant Hollis of Vernon, AL; one daughter, Tabatha (Lee) Baker of Booneville, MS; two step-daughters, Judy (Johnny) Smith of Vernon, AL and Lisa (Joe) Graves of Millport, AL; one step-son, Jerry (Tracy) Merchant of Vernon, AL; one brother, Robert (Sharon) Hollis of New Boston, TX; three grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
