Mr. Charles Marvin Taylor, age 81 of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
Mr. Taylor was born January 6, 1939, in Fayette County, AL, to the late Marvin Bishop Taylor and Nina Bell Fowler Taylor. He was a truck driver and owned and operated his own truck. Mr. Taylor also served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Blair Taylor; two daughters, Sheila Maria Taylor and Sheri Cobb; his son, Charles Dale Taylor; and one sister, Ruby Dean Atkinson.
There will be a private family service at a later time.
Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Fowler, Zack Taylor, Kyle Shaw, Jamie Lindsey, Robbie McAdams, Jeff Taylor, and Glenn McCullough. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Azam, Dr. Dunn, and the staff of MICU3 SE.
Survivors include six grandchildren, Kyle (Amy) Shaw of Millport, AL, Kodie (Robbie) McAdams of Millport, AL, Sieara (Jamie) Lindsey of Ethelsville, AL, Zackary Dale Taylor of Winfield, AL, Isabella Grace Taylor of Winfield, AL; and Jeremy Derrick Cobb of Kennedy, AL; six great-grandchildren, Browning, Walker, Kolt, and Drake McAdams, Karden Shaw, and Lynn Lee Lindsey; one brother, Joe (Brenda) Taylor of Northport, AL; one sister, Sue Cargile of Fayette, AL; five nieces, Tonya (James) Podmore, Wyletta (Howard) Humber, Jettie (Robert) Corbett, Charla (Kenneth) Lynn, and Laura (Ronnie) Chaffin; his son-in-law, Derrick Cobb; and his daughter-in-law, Teresa Taylor.
