Mrs. Clara Sue Clanton, age 59 of Vernon, AL, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013, at Generations of Vernon.
Mrs. Clanton was born May 25, 1953, in Lamar Co., AL, to Jack and Helene McLemore and was a garment plant seamstress. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jackie McClemore.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Joe Beckon officiating. Burial will follow at Crews Cemetery in Sulligent. Visitation will be Friday 12-2 prior to the service.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Clanton of Vernon, AL; son, Kevin Clanton of Vernon, AL; parents, Jack and Helene McLemore of Vernon, AL; brother, Larry (Diane) McLemore of Vernon, AL; two nephews, Shawn (Deshana) McLemore and Scott McLemore; three nieces, Tasha (Jackie) Scott, Tangie (Jason) Landers, and Joanna Bridges; and sister-in-law, Shirley McLemore.
