Obituary

Clara Mae Hall Gilmore, age 93 of Vernon, AL, passed away Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at Fayette Medical Center-DCH in Fayette.

Mrs. Gilmore was born April 16, 1917, to the late Lee & Belle Hall and was a seamstress with Vernon Manufacturing.

Funeral services will be Fri. at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Jerry Smith and Wade Peoples officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be 12-2 prior to the service.

She is survived by four sons, Leon (Sara) Gilmore of Lavon, TX, James A. (Debbie) Gilmore of Lake Dallas, TX, Bobbie (Teresa) Gilmore of Sanger, TX, and Dale (Brenda) Gilmore of Universal City, TX; six daughters, Helen (Jim) Gill of Amory, MS, Sue Merchant of Columbus, MS, Virginia (Golden) Patrick of Millport, AL, Biddie (Paul) Cantrell of Denton, TX, Linda (Jim) Brack of Deepwater, MO, and Mary Ann (Danny) Stapp of Vernon; two brothers, Murray Hall and Evert Hall; sister, Ruby Brown; 33 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett O'Neal Gilmore; parents; infant daughter, Mary Sue Gilmore; three step-children, Gladys, James, and Johnny.
