Clarence Williams was born on August 26, 1956, in Caledonia, MS, to the late Ofie Augusta Poe Williams. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, November 3, 2024. Clarence was an active member of United Baptist Church in Vernon, AL. He was employed with Bryan Foods and Georgia Pacific until his health prevented him from participating.
In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by his daughter, Jasmine Williams; two brothers, Ofie Lee Williams and R.J. Johnson; three nephews, Ike Johnson, Maurice Henry, and Michael Williams; his father-in-law, John Walker; two sisters-in-law, Terri Walker and Alice Johnson; and his aunt and uncle, Flora and John Blair.
Funeral services will be Sunday, November 10, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with David Williams officiating. A graveside service will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be 12:00-2:00 prior to the service.
Active pallbearers will be Pretin Walker, Justice Walker, Braylyn Walker, Memphis Walker, Dietrich Smith, and Rodney Pennington. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Johnson, Dino Johnson, Jason Williams, Leslie "Fonz" Williams, Frank Williams Allen, "Tookie" Henry, Ofie Williams, Otis Williams, Myron "Bug" Smith, Simeon Williams, Scott Westbrook, Donny Smith, Larry Smith, Chad Hood, Jay Clark, and Derrick Hamm.
Clarence leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Pam Williams, of Vernon, AL; three sons, David (Dinah) Williams of Caledonia, MS, Johnathan (Esha) Walker of Hamilton, AL, and Justin Walker of Vernon, AL; eight grandchildren, Bria (Demetrius Nails of Vernon, AL, Tyra Williams of Caledonia, MS, Baylie (Heather) McDonald of Rochester, MN, Justice Walker of Hamilton, AL, Prestin Walker of Vernon, AL, Braylyn Walker of Vernon, AL, Memphis Walker of Vernon, AL; Eve Kay Owens of Vernon, AL, Tra' Lark of Hamilton, AL, and Jordan Hamm of Hamilton, AL; seven great-grandchildren, Princeton Nails, Roman McDonald, Coraline McDonald, Everlee McDonald, Ocean Lark, Ka'Mari Hamm, and Kendyl Billups; one brother, Sylvester (Odessa) Williams of Columbus, MS; six sisters, Sarah Williams of Caledonia, MS, Mattie Williams of Aubey, TX, Bessie Pearl Tatum of Tuscaloosa, AL, Willie Mae (Allen) Henry of Caledonia, MS, Betty Blair of Caledonia, MS, and Vera Tate of Greer, SC; his mother-in-law, Helen Walker of Vernon, AL; and his cherished uncle and aunt, Quincy and Urie Henry of Columbus, MS.
