Mr. Curtis Edward Hawkins, age 61, of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Northwest Medical Center, in Winfield.

Mr. Hawkins was born July 29, 1963, in Vernon, AL, to Edgilee Bobo and the late Clyde Hawkins.  He served in the National Guard and was carpenter with a construction company.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Wade Hawkins, and his best friend, Chris Cook.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 1, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with James Godsey officiating.  Burial will follow at Christian Chapel.  Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 prior to the service.

Survivors include his mother, Edgilee Bobo, of Vernon, AL; his daughter, Alicia Hawkins, of Vernon, AL; his son, Cody Hawkins, of Demopolis, AL; four grandchildren, Harleigh Carruth, Autumn Carruth, Braden Scrivner, and Dixie Scrivner; one great-grandchild, Evelynn Wilson; one sister, Sandra (Tony) Reeves; one brother, Thad (Patty) Hawkins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
