Mrs. Cynthia (Cindy) Mary Kabell, age 70 of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at her residence.

Mrs. Kabell was born February 21, 1946, in Quantico, VA, to Mary Emma Jackson and the late Noel Alexander Jackson. She was a volunteer with many schools and a missionary in Uganda, Pakistan and Bolivia.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 3:00 at the Vernon First United Methodist Church with Pastor Patrick Cooley officiating. Graveside services will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in the Hightogy Community. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Kabell of Vernon, AL; two sons, Ian Kabell of Weidman, MI and Kenneth (Amy) Kabell of Mount Pleasant, MI; her mother, Mary Emma Jackson of Sun City, CA; one brother, Noel (Bay) Jackson, Jr. of Murrieta, CA; one sister, Paula (Steve) Obermeyer of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; three grandchildren, David Janetski, Erika Janetski, and Harley Baldwin; and four foster grandchildren in Pakistan. She will be sorely missed by her family and the many others around the world that she loved and who loved her in return.
