Mr. Roger Dale Porter, age 66, of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Fayette Medical Center-DCH.

Dale was born August 9, 1957, in Columbus, MS, to the late James Clinton Porter and Earthie Lampkins Porter.  Dale was retired but had previously worked in the kitchen at Generations of Vernon and at American Trouser in Columbus.

There will be a graveside service Friday, December 8, at 11:00 AM, at Lampkins Cemetery, with Bro. Terry McAdams officiating.

Survivors include his sister, Glenda (Randy) Hegwood, of Columbus, MS; two nieces, Crystal and Kellie Hegwood, both of Columbus, MS; and three great-nieces and nephews, Holland Gandy, Houston Gandy, and Kastian Bush.  Dale loved his family and had many friends that were dear to him.  Among them was his church family at Nebo Methodist Church.
