Obituary
Mr. Daniel Clay Robertson, age 85 of Columbus, MS, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.
Mr. Robertson was born in Vernon, AL on May 25, 1929, to the late Noah Daniel and Nellie Gray Robertson. He served in the U.S. Army and Korean War. Mr. Robertson was also a proud graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Accountancy. During his career, Mr. Robertson worked in Cost Control Management and as an Environmental Project Manager for industrial construction companies. He was affectionately known as Clay Boy and Papa Clay. We love you and will miss you, Clay Boy, and HAIL STATE!!
Funeral services will be Friday, March 6, at 11:00am in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel in Vernon, AL with burial at Shiloh-Pinhook Cemetery in the Hightogy Community. Visitation will be Friday10-11 prior to the service.
Mr. Robertson is survived by his wife, Joella Robertson of Vernon, AL; his son, Dale Blaine Robertson of Columbus, MS; his daughter, Dana Ellen (John) Halvorsen of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, Alex Dale Robertson, Ben (Krystal) Halvorsen, Daniel Halvorsen (Amy), and Christine Halvorsen; and a host of family and friends.
