Mr. Danny Lee McNees, age 71, of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Generations of Vernon.

Mr. McNees was born November 13, 1951, in Vernon, AL, to the late F.L. and Mary Lee McNees.  He was a truck driver and had a great love for horses. His children and grandchildren will always remember him as the fun-loving jokester he was.

According to his wishes, the family has chosen cremation and will have a private celebration of life on July 29, 2023.

Survivors include his son, Cody (Tasha) McNees; one daughter, Bree (Chris) Barnett; four grandchildren, Austin (Reagan) McNees, Victoria McNees, and Carter and Olivia Barnett; two great-grandchildren, Waylon and Bryer McNees; three brothers, Robert (Shelby) McNees, Jimmy (Lucretia) McNees, and Billy McNees; one sister, Frances (Jerry) Hawkins; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents F.L. and Mary Lee McNees, and his infant sister, Mary Joyce McNees.
