David Perkins

Mr. David Lynn Perkins, age 69, of Vernon, AL, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026, at Fayette Medical Center-DCH.

Mr. Perkins was born June 24, 1957, in Vernon, AL, to Lois Guyton Perkins and the late Willie Gene Perkins.  He worked at Hyster from 1976-2002 as a lathe machine operator.  He was married to the late Becky Taylor Perkins, and was also preceded in death by his nephew, Bryant Perkins, and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 2, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Brian Reeves officiating.  Burial will follow at Liberty Free Will Baptist Cemetery.  Visitation will be 12:00-2:00 PM prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Luke Guyton, Dillion Guyton, James Perkins, Caleb Gann, Tyler Daw, and Zack Weathers.

Survivors include his mother, Lois Perkins; his children, Davey (Tiffany) Perkins, Chrissy (John) Welch, Dawn (Nathan) Guyton, Jessie (Nina) Stockman, Dustin Taylor, and Janna (Frankie) Goforth; his grandchildren, Taylor, Destiny, Summer, Brittany, Caleb, Luke, James, Dillion, Crystal, Haley, Derick, Harley, Zaine, Becca, and Ashtyn; a host of great-grandchildren; his brother, Dale (Kathy) Perkins; his niece, Kandace (James) Payne; and his great-nephew, Noah Payne.
