Obituary
Mr. De Ottis Porter, age 68 of Vernon, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
Mr. Porter was born April 19, 1943 in Kennedy, AL to the late Robert and Vaudien Porter. He served in the U.S. Army and was an engineer and truck driver for Hyster.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11:00 at Oakes Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Sarah Porter of Vernon; brother-in-law, William Nelson of Fayette; two nephews, Edward Nelson and Robert Nelson, both of Fayette, and niece, Nancy Nelson Fowler of Fayette.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremiah Porter, and his parents.
