Mrs. Dean Wallace, age 84 of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Wallace was born September 3, 1929, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Clarence Bradley and Essie Ophelia Williams and was a thread distributor. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her husbands, Ray Collins and Glenn Wallace.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3:00 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Phillip Potter and Bro. James Walden officiating. Burial will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery in the Hightogy Community. Visitation will be Wednesday 1:00-3:00 prior to the service.
Survivors include her brother, Redus W. (Imogene) Williams of Millport, AL; two nieces, Sharryn (Bruce) Dunkin of Tuscaloosa, AL and Peggy (Eugene) Holmes of Vernon, AL; one nephew, Matthew Dunkin of Tuscaloosa, AL; her cousins, Sandra Hampel of Tuscaloosa, AL, Edna Faye Ridings of Sulligent, AL, Lowell Wheeler of Millport, AL, Farrell Wheeler of Millport, AL, and Laverne Goforth of Columbus, MS; and her good friends, Dan and Jean Richards, Bobby and Elaine Shackelford and their children, Glenn and Diane Garrett, Mr. & Mrs. Roy Blanton, and all her friends on 2nd Avenue.
