Obituary
Mr. Wade Hankins, age 66, of Vernon, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.
Mr. Hankins was born March 6, 1944 in Lamar Co, AL to Paul and Idell Hankins. He was a vice-president and loan officer at the Bank of Vernon.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 at 3:00P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Ed Broadway and Ed Gosa officiating. Graveside service will follow at Lamar Memory Gardens cemetery.
Mr. Hankins is survived by his wife, Geraldine Watson Hankins of Vernon; son, Dennis (Gena) Hankins of Northport; daughter, Amy (Bryant) Evans of Myrtle Beach, SC; mother, Idell Hankins of Vernon, Al; brother, Gayron Hankins of Toone, TN; two sisters, Glennice Otts of Vernon and Ada Smith of Fayette; and three grandchildren, Mitch Hankins, McKenzie Hankins, and Abby Evans.
Mr. Hankins is preceded in death by his father, Paul Hankins.
