Mrs. Dessie V. Hollis Bobo, age 91 of Fayette, AL, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at Fayette Medical Center.

Mrs. Bobo was born March 12, 1924, in Vernon, AL, to the late William and Violet Jane Brown. She was a seamstress and enjoyed quilting, sewing, and playing Rook and Dominoes with her family and sisters. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bobo was also preceded in death by her husbands, J.E. Hollis, Sr. and Arnold Bobo; two brothers, Elton Brown and Rushton Brown; and four sisters, Thelma Hedrick, Margie Hall, Myrtle Watson, and Annie Grace Price.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Scott Montgomery and Sonny McLellan officiating. Burial will follow at Wofford Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday morning 10-11 prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Cal Seales, Will Seales, Ridge Seales, Jerrod Kizzire, Austin Duran, and Steve Benefield.

Survivors include two sons, Charles (Faye) Hollis of Sulligent, AL and Joe Hollis of Fayette, AL; three daughters, Joan (Sonny) McLellan of Vernon, AL, Brenda (Calvin) Seales of Oxford, AL, and Gail (Jerry) Kizzire of Fayette, AL; 12 grandchildren, Cindy (Alvin) Foster, Stephanie (David) Duran, Cal (Sarah) Seales, Will (Brandi) Seales, Ruben Williams, Deloris Williams, Jerrod (Shea) Kizzire), Brandy (Adam) Godwin, Cassie Kizzire, Chasity (Josh) Ham, Kayla Hollis, and Allison Hollis; 17 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Joyce McGee and Ruby Wright, both of Vernon, AL.
