Obituary
Mr. Dewayne Avery "Hacksaw" Welch, age 59 of Vernon, AL, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013, at his residence.
Mr. Welch was born November 12, 1953, in Culllman, AL to Ruby Dooley Welch and the late Roy Welch. He was a truck driver and was also preceded in death by his son, Michael Dewayne Welch.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Bobby Godsey officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut. Visitation will be Wednesday 11-2 prior to the service.
Survivors include his mother, Ruby Dooley Welch of Cullman, AL; three daughters, Terrisa (Stanley) Locke of Millport, AL, April (Jody) Godsey of Vernon, AL, and Brandy (Allan) Vice of Vernon, AL; his wife, Nancy Welch of Vernon, AL; three brothers, John Roy Welch of Guin, AL, Mitchell Welch of Vernon, AL, and Steve Welch of Cullman, AL; sister, Joyce Swann of Cullman, AL; and eight grandchildren.
