Obituary
Mrs. Dollie Nichols Pennington Knight, age 93 of Vernon, AL, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Generations of Vernon.
Mrs. Knight was born Feb. 10, 1919, in Lowndes Co., MS to the late W.L. and Mollie Nichols. She was a hair dresser and member of Nebo United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, Marshall Pennington and J.L. Knight; daughter, Vicki Pennington; and six brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 at Nebo United Methodist Church with Terry McAdams officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be Monday 12-2 at the church prior to the service.
Survivors are two daughters, Fay P. (Jimmy) Greer of Sulligent, AL and Peggy J. (Mike) Glasgow of Vernon, AL; son, Dan (Linda) Pennginton of Nashville, TN; sister, Annie Edwards of Columbus, MS; six grandchildren, Mike Greer, Mark Greer, Julie Higginbotham, Kit Pennington, Michael Glasgow, and Jesse Glasgow; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
