Obituary
Mrs. Doris Ann Taylor, age 83 of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013, at Generations of Vernon.
Mrs. Taylor was born April 16, 1930, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Fonnie Louis and Annie Grace Hollis. She was a homemaker and LPN, enjoyed fishing and cooking, and was an avid Alabama sports fan. She also enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Danny Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be Sunday 1-2 prior to the service.
She is survived by her husband, Teague Taylor of Sulligent, AL; one son, Tony (Kathy) Taylor of Vernon, AL; one daughter, Pam Egger of Sulligent, AL; three sisters, Lou Ella Knight of Sulligent, AL, Mary Bennett of Sulligent, AL, and Clara Piel of Odessa, TX; one brother, John Paul Hollis of Columbus, MS; four grandchildren, Anne Marie (Craig) Clemmons, Ryan Taylor, Hannah Taylor, and Casey Taylor; one great-grandchild, Aiden Clemmons; and numerous nieces & nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
