Obituary
Mrs. Doris Jean Thomas, age 70 of Vernon, AL, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at her residence.
Mrs. Thomas was born June 19, 1942, in Lamar Co., AL to the late Jessie and Mary Curry. She was a house keeper and was also preceded in death by her son, Joel Thomas.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 at Christian Chapel Church of Christ with Travis Brown and Jesse Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 12-2 at the church prior to the service.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Banks Thomas of Vernon, AL; two sons, Mike (Brenda) Thomas of Vernon, AL and Jackie (Pam) Thomas of Vernon, AL; daughter-in-law, Becky Thomas of Millport, AL; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Calvin Curry, Bobby Curry, Steve Curry, and Danny Curry all of Vernon, AL.
