Mrs. Dorothy Banks Yarbrough Crawford, age 75 of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Generations of Vernon.

Mrs. Crawford was born October 3, 1938, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Banks and Audie Johnson Yarbrough.  She was an assembly line worker for Healthtex and was a member of Mt. Harmony Freewill Baptist Church and she enjoyed shopping.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by her husband, Erbie Crawford; five brothers, J.T. Yarbrough, James Yarbrough, Clearman Yarbrough, Clayton Yarbrough, and F.L. Yarbrough; and two sisters, Idova Hall and Lois Richardson.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 in the funeral home chapel with James Walden officiating.  Burial will follow at Vernon City Cemetery.  Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 prior to the service.

Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Patchen of Vernon, AL; her son, Johnny W. Crawford of Northport, AL; four grandchildren, Chasity Johnson, Casey Crawford, Felicia P. Sisson, and Jennifer Lucas; five great-grandchildren, Courtney Perkins, Sidney Johnson, Lyndsey Johnson, Payton Nabors, and Taylor Nabors; two great-great-grandchildren, Lawson Perkins and Bryleigh Perkins; one brother, Johnny (Shirley) Yarbrough; and a number of nieces and nephews.
