Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Lou Morris, age 91 of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013, at Generations of Vernon.
Mrs. Morris was born May 4, 1921, in Lamar Co., AL to the late Luther and Lou Ella Collins. She was a nurse. Mrs. Morris was also preceded in death by her husbands, Ernest Haynes and Bill Morris; daughter, Eloise Hopper; three brothers, Johnny Collins, Fletcher Collins, and Robert Collins; and three sisters, Madie Newman, Ovella Rushing, and Addie Mae Maddox.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with James Waldon officiating. Burial will follow at Union Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 1-2 prior to the service.
Survivors include her daughter, Lois Cash of Millport, AL; son, John Douglas (Joyce) Haynes of Gallion, AL; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Applin, Jackie (Wayne) Hoggle, Glenn Haynes, Terri George, Jimmy Chandler, Eric Hopper, and Lynette Teague; ten great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
